We conduct various awareness campaigns in different schools, colleges and localities empowering the children about the importance of education through PROJECT HOPE. We mobilize the young student volunteers in these campaigns to enhance their skills and capabilities.

PROJECT HOPE

Project HOPE is a light of hope to every child, to follow their passion and dreams. It is an awareness campaign strategy which is a direct outreach to rural schools at all levels to promote the understanding of importance of education with a motive to reduce the increasing rate of dropout students.

School dropout problem is still the crosscutting issue especially among the government schools in the rural areas of Nepal. Half of the children in rural villages quit school before reaching secondary level. Only few of them continue their higher education. In most of the cases this is due to their financial condition, lack of access to resources and poor management of education system, etc. If we see the current educational statistics, it has been improving compared to last 10 years. But if we see the dropout rate of Dalits, marginalized students, deprived communities then their dropout rate is still in a big volume. The unreached, marginalized, socially excluded groups are highest among the dropout.

This campaign is focused on improving the understanding of parents, children, teachers and community towards importance of education. It completely involves providing motivational session to children in order to convince them to follow their dreams and aims and continue their higher education. We use various practical and action oriented approaches for effective results.

To conduct this awareness campaign at 100 government schools covering 5000 plus participants and mobilizing 100 plus volunteers.

Till date we have conducted this program in 15 schools of two different districts (Kavre and Kaski ) covering  800 plus participants

Another program “CLOTH POLLUTION “is implemented to aware the children in schools about the practice of 3 R reuse, reduce and recycle and about cloth pollution and its effects. Cloth Pollution Campaign is an awareness campaign to aware people about the cloth pollution and the urgency of this issue. With this a survey is also conducted time to time to know peoples view about cloth pollution and second hand clothes.

The fashion industry is one of the major polluting industries in the world. The production and distribution of the crops, fibers, and garments used in fashion all contribute to differing forms of environmental pollution, including water, air, and soil pollution. One of the main contributors to the rapid production of pollution is the rapid production of clothes due to the rapid consumption of customers. Fashion production makes up 10% of humanity`s carbon emissions, dries up water sources, and pollutes rivers and streams. Every year the world as a whole consumes more than 80 billion items of clothing. As per a World Resources Institute report, 1.2 billion tons of CO2 is released in the atmosphere per year by fast fashion industry. What`s more, 85% of all textiles go to the dump each year. And washing some types of clothes sends thousands of bits of plastic into the ocean.

  • Aware people about cloth pollution
  • Explain how clothing promotes pollution
  • Make people realize about the urgency of this issue
  • Why promoting second hand clothes is a good option
  • Aware people about fast fashion and practice of sustainable fashion
