Nepal, being one of the least developed country and having mass of its citizens unemployed and living under poverty line, it can be miserable when certain disaster or pandemic hits. Sukhawati Store has been initiating many relief packages during those times at most affected areas of Nepal since 2015.
  • Earthquake Relief 2015-2016With the financial aid and support of national and international donors, Sukhawati store conducted food relief, blanket distribution at 10 districts covering 50villages and 1200+participants. Sukhawati store foundation also built temporary learning center as well temporary shelters.
    • On 27 May 2015 we distributed tarpaulins, mats and clothes to 115 affected houses at Salli Village,Thulo Patal VDC Dolakha.
    • On 2015 November we distributed 144 quilts to 72 houses of Ratankot and Sindhupalchowk.
    • On 2015 June we conducted food for rescue campaign, where we distributed basic food materials to 80 household to Chepang Village, Orbang , Bharati village, Dhading and Sano sirubari VD C, sindhupalchowk.
    • On 2015 we distributed blankets top 50 plus households to Bastase VDC-9, Sindupalchowk.
    • On 2016 Sukhawati Foundation team conducted Food for rescue program at Gorkha where we distributed rice, salt, tent and clothes for 100 families, in association with ‘Hangyore’ newspaper, South Korea
    • On 2016 we distributed food relief, medicines and tents to 35 families in Goth Bhitta, Fakhel VDC

     

    COVID-19 Relief

    • On April 2020 we supported basic food materials grant to two slum families at Bansighat Teku.
    • On April 2020 we supported food ration for 2 months at The New Children Homes, Child Shelter.
    • On 2020Septembner we conducted food relief campaign for a week, where we distributed two times meals to patients and their care takers at Kanti Children Teaching hospital.
